Accessibility statement
Draft for review. This statement is not yet final.
We want everyone to be able to use this website comfortably, including people who use a screen reader, magnification, voice control or a keyboard alone, and anyone who prefers larger text or less motion.

The standard we build to
This website is designed and built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA.
How we meet it
Text is real text, never pictures of text, and it can be enlarged without breaking the page. Colours are chosen and measured for contrast, including where text sits over the moving air. Every page can be used with a keyboard alone, with a clearly visible focus outline. Images are described in text, or marked as decorative when they carry no information. Form fields are labelled, and errors are explained in words, not by colour alone.
If your device is set to reduce motion, the site shows a complete still version of every page: drawings appear finished and the air is shown as a still image.
How we test
Every page is checked with automated accessibility tests and reviewed by hand, with a keyboard and a screen reader, on phones, tablets and computers before it is published.
Known limitations
The moving air on three pages depends on a graphics feature that some browsers do not offer. Where it is unavailable, or motion is reduced, a still image is shown instead. The animation is decorative: everything it illustrates is also stated in text.
Some older press articles we link to are hosted on other websites, which we cannot make accessible ourselves.
