Systems that vanish into the home’s infrastructure

Machines live in a mechanical room, garage or crawl space. Enriched air travels through proprietary tubing to outlet ports matched to the trim. We handle design, permits and commissioning, in new builds and retrofits.

  • 1, Mechanical room, axonometric: Manifold; manifold 9 in from the west wall; manifold 4 ft 0 in above the floor; Riser 1, up to L1 and L2; To riser 2; level L0, 8,948 ft
  • 2, Plan, 14 ft 0 in by 12 ft 0 in clear: room 14 ft 0 in east to west, clear; room 16 ft 0 in east to west, out to out; south wall to the riser’s centre line 8 ft 0 in; west wall to the service rail 3 ft 0 in; 7 ft 0 in rail, 3 in off the north wall; each machine 2 ft 0 in wide; 3 ft 0 in clear in front of the machines; riser 1, 9 in from the east wall; 10 in sleeve at the riser; louver centre line 7 ft 9 in above the finished floor; Areaway; level L0, 8,948 ft; north arrow
  • 3, Outlet at the bed wall, in section: Trim plate, three ports; Wall box and port block; ½ in tubing from the floor; 2 in mineral wool batt; 2 by 4 plate, steel nail plate; outlet 1 ft 6 in above the floor; level L2, 8,970 ft
  • Key plan, L0
  • General notes: 1. Duct the exhaust out at the louver. 2. Power by others, per maker's data. 3. Keep 3 ft 0 in clear at the machines. 4. Sleeve each slab 10 in at the risers.

New construction or retrofit

In new construction, the tubing chases and the mechanical room are drawn at design development and run at rough-in.

In a retrofit, the tubing follows existing HVAC chases, attic spaces and wall cavities, with minimal impact on finished rooms.

  1. Design development: Site assessment to Custom design
  2. Rough-in: Installation
  3. Finishes: Installation
  4. Commissioning: Testing & training
  5. Annual service: Lifetime support

Installation configurations

Where the machines can live, as we have installed them.

  • Mechanical room, direct vented

Machines stacked in a room of their own, each one’s nitrogen and heat ducted straight outdoors.

  • Mechanical room, room vented

Machines along a plant-room wall; the room itself is ventilated and temperature-controlled.

  • Garage, vented: small system

Five machines in two stacks in one corner, vented through the ceiling.

  • Garage, vented: large system

Fourteen machines stacked three high along one wall, vented through ducts overhead.

  • Garage, vented: high shelf

Machines on a steel shelf above the garage door, the floor below left clear.

  • Attic, vented

A row under the roof, each machine on its own hose to a common vent duct.

  • Crawl space, non-vented

Machines on pads over the crawl-space gravel, with no vent duct.

Distribution and outlets

Proprietary tubing runs from the manifold through the walls to each room and ends at an outlet port beside the bed. The trim plate is the only part anyone sees, and it is matched to the room’s existing trim.

  • Stud wall, mineral wool.
  • Single-gang box.
  • ½ in tubing from the floor.
  • Trim plate, 2¾ in by 4½ in.
  • Level L2, 8,970 ft.
  • Wall 6 in thick.
  • Shadow-gap reveal at the floor, ½ in.
  • Outlet 1 ft 6 in above the L2 floor.
  • Ports 1¼ in apart.
  • Stud wall, mineral wool.
  • Single-gang box.
  • ½ in tubing from the floor.
  • Wall 6 in thick.
